Qatar's desert safari centers on the Inland Sea (Khor Al Adaid), a striking spot roughly an hour south of Doha where the desert meets the sea directly, with no beach in between — one of very few places in the world where this happens. Tours typically combine high-speed dune bashing in a 4x4, a stop at the Inland Sea itself, and sometimes camel riding or sandboarding.
