Weather and Timing
Table Mountain frequently gets covered by cloud (locally called the "tablecloth"), and the cableway closes in high wind or heavy cloud cover, so it's worth checking conditions and having a flexible day if the mountain is your priority. Check the cableway's live status online before heading up — cloud cover and wind can close it with little notice, and there's no point making the trip if visibility will be poor.
