Getting Around Phuket
There's no metro or train system — most visitors rent a scooter, book a private driver, or use Grab/taxis between beaches. Songthaews (shared open-air trucks) run cheap routes between Phuket Town and the main beaches.
Always wear a helmet on a rental scooter and check what the rental insurance actually covers — road accidents are one of the few genuine risks on a Phuket trip.
